URL Encode / Decode
Percent-encode a URL component or a whole URL, and decode percent-encoded text back. Encoding follows encodeURIComponent / encodeURI.

- Use the component mode for query values; full-URL mode keeps : / ? & = intact.
Common questions
When do I use component versus full URL?
Component for a single query value, where / ? & = must be escaped. Full URL keeps those separators intact.
Why do spaces become %20?
Percent-encoding represents a space as %20. The + form belongs to HTML form encoding, not URLs.
Why does decoding leave + signs?
decodeURIComponent does not treat + as a space. Replace + with a space first if the value came from a form submission.
