About Tools App
We build simple, private and useful online tools. Not because we have to, but because the internet taught us almost everything we know — and this is our way of giving something back.
How it started
It started with a single tool. In 2025 we built a simple unit converter for internal use at aumenso. It was not fancy. It did exactly what we needed, quickly and without distractions.
One day we asked why it was sitting on our computers when someone else might find it useful too. One tool became two, two became ten, and the collection kept growing.
We never sat down with a business plan that said "build another tools website". We kept solving problems we ran into ourselves and published the solutions.
Our mission
The goal is not simply to offer free tools. It is to remove friction from everyday work with utilities that are fast, private, accessible and genuinely useful.
People should spend less time wrestling with software and more time creating, learning or getting on with their day.

Who we are
The idea began as a personal passion project. As it grew, a small group of people from aumenso joined in. Today it is maintained by a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys building useful things.
We are designers, developers, SEO specialists and automation enthusiasts. Our day jobs are helping businesses through aumenso by building websites, digital products, automation systems, branding and growth strategies.
Tools App is different: it is where we build because something is useful, not because a client asked for it. That freedom makes it one of the most enjoyable projects we work on.
The relationship with aumenso
Tools App is an independent community project built under the aumenso umbrella. aumenso focuses on helping businesses grow through websites, branding, automation, SEO, software and digital strategy. Tools App exists for a different reason.
It is where we experiment, build useful utilities and give something back to the internet that taught us our craft. The skills are connected; the mission is different.
We treat Tools App as a gift from aumenso to the community. Not a lead-generation platform, not a marketing funnel. Just useful tools built by people who enjoy making everyday work a little easier.
How it is funded
For most of its life Tools App has had no business model. It has been funded by us: the domain costs around $12 a year, hosting runs on Cloudflare, and every tool has been designed, built and tested on our own time.
As more people discover the platform, maintenance and development grow with it. We are exploring optional community support, and we have considered advertising. Advertising is the harder decision because much of it depends on collecting user data, and privacy has been a core principle since day one.
We are still weighing the path forward. One promise will not change: Tools App puts users before revenue. We will not add unnecessary signups, lock basic tools behind subscriptions, or trade privacy for short-term gains.
